I like the simple things in life, don’t you? Ever go on a vacation or out to a nice dinner and you get a simple and real flower on your dish. Everything from that point just goes to fancy. That little flower is so happy. That little flower also always brings a smile and a wonder of, huh, I really can eat this pretty thing?
Believe it or not, a lot of common garden flowers are edible! Just one thing I ask from this blog is please do your research, and wash your flowers off well before even trying. If you are like me, I sometimes buy my garden pansies already potted from hardware stores like Lowe’s. There may or not be chemicals on them. Also, if you are allergic to pollens and related plants, maybe do a little taste test first or avoid flowers with pollen to be sure you aren’t highly allergic.
In these ice cubes I used pansies and an edible orchid. I know that they are safe plants. Please don’t just eat any plant because there are some that could make you very sick. If you wanted to try plants other than what I’ve used, then please do your research! I want everyone to have a safe and happy drink!
