Welcome to our blog! When referring to we, our, us, etc. this includes me (Krystle) and little B. Occasionally this refers to Tommy but he let’s us do our own thing. Our own thing, you ask? Living life and creating this online read (apparently this is appropriately called a blog.) This is a blog that we hope you enjoy coming to for random stories and ideas.
Our ideas we like to keep simple and we also like to DIY. Though, DIY is not the complete purpose of this blog, we wanted to mix our DIY ideas into this site.
Decaf succs.
The name I’m not sure I love yet, but it definitely has a good ring to it! Decaf Succs is also something easily remembered. If you love coffee (yum!!) then I am going to assume you don’t like decaf coffee. So, as a pun, I added in “succs.” Ironically, succs is just a shorter form of succulents. We love succulents! I am a woman who loves a cheesy pun so there is your explanation of this website’s name!
Why make a website?
Making this website gets my creativity out there! This is written for anyone who enjoys reading about our likes, too. I am tired of the same old on social media, so DecafSuccs is a way that we can create and actually live out ideas.
I have always love taking pictures. I see them as memories to life that you can look back on. For a while, I stopped taking many photos in my life. Today, we have so many and it’s just so nice to have a little time capsule to hold on to. Personal pictures are so much more to have in the home than the cookie cutter photos that you can buy anywhere.
Goals for this site,
I want to incorporate more crafts, more easy recipes, and somehow promote smaller businesses as we go along with DecafSuccs. I also just simply want to promote things that I personally like, because why not! I will try to make it coffee shop related.
When you step into a coffee shop there are four major things I take notice:
- obviously coffee and food
- musical vibes
- any fun plants or succulents!
- nature lover here
- really cool artwork and photography displayed
With these four points, the hope is that this blog is like an online coffee shop in a way. A place to go, read, chill, and be inspired.
We are anthropologie and URBN enthusiasts, too. That whole vibe is what keeps us going with creativity.
I hope you enjoy our website, succas! 🙂
- Krystle
